OptiBlend presentations at 2 conferences

Last week, the OptiBlend study was represented at two (inter)national conferences: Kennis in Beweging, a mental health care conference organised by ZonMw, de Nederlandse ggz and MIND, and the annual congress of the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM) in Rotterdam.

Within OptiBlend, we aim to optimise blended treatment for people with alcohol use disorder. During Kennis in Beweging, Lisa Imhof gave an update on the ongoing research, and there was an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas with researchers, clinicians, experts by experience and policymakers.

At ISAM, Lisa Imhof and Puck Veldman presented different aspects of the research. Puck presented a qualitative study exploring clients’ experiences and needs regarding additional digital modules on nutrition and sleep. These insights were used to develop the nutrition and sleep modules within OptiBlend. Lisa presented research on different engagement profiles in blended treatment, examining differences in attendance at therapy sessions and use of digital modules, and whether these differences were associated with treatment outcomes.

Two inspiring conferences, offering valuable opportunities to connect and engage in insightful discussions about the further development of blended treatment in addiction care.
